Yuba-Sutter Transit is accepting sealed bids for the sale of the following surplus buses in “as is, where is” condition:

·         Six (6) 2007 Blue Bird Xcel-102 model buses (Unit #’s 4151 – 4156)

·         One (1) 2008 Blue Bird Xcel-102 model bus (Unit #4157)

All of these buses have 41 forward facing (35 reclining) passenger seats; Caterpillar 7.0 liter diesel engines; air conditioning; overhead luggage racks; Ricon Mirage under-floor wheelchair lifts; two wheelchair tie-down positions; and, are generally equipped for intercity commuter service.

A minimum bid price of $1,000 per bus will apply to each of the five (5) buses that were available for daily revenue service as of the date of this notice and a minimum bid price of $500 will apply to the two (2) buses that were previously removed from service.  Yuba-Sutter Transit makes no representations regarding the condition of these vehicles and offers no warranty of any kind.  All of these buses and their maintenance records may be inspected by appointment prior to the bid opening date and time.

Bids must be received in the Yuba-Sutter Transit office by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at which time a public bid opening will occur.  Bids are to be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “SURPLUS VEHICLE BID”.  A cashier’s check or money order in the full amount of the bid and made payable to “YUBA-SUTTER TRANSIT” must be enclosed with the bid.  Bid packages are to be submitted to the following address: Yuba-Sutter Transit Authority, 2100 B Street, Marysville CA  95901.

Successful bidders will have seven (7) days to remove their purchased vehicle(s) from the premises after which time a storage fee of $25 per day per vehicle will be charged payable upon release of each vehicle.  Checks will be returned immediately to unsuccessful bidders.  If any units remain unsold after the bid opening, they will be available on a best offer basis.
